Run/Walk With Us on the Katy Trail to Monsanto’s Headquarters For the March Against Monsanto

As the author of We’re Monsanto: Feeding the World, Lie After Lie, when we were plotting our path across the United States on our Run For a GMO Free USA, there was only one required stop along the way: St. Louis. Or more specifically, Creve Coeur. Creve Coeur is Monsanto’s headquarters. As luck or providence might have it, we are scheduled to arrive in Creve Coeur on May 24th, the date for the 3rd global March Against Monsanto. Good timing because the march organizers have asked David and me to speak at the march. This will be David’s 2nd opportunity to speak at a March Against Monsanto and my third. We consider it a great honor and responsibility to speak out against Monsanto’s ongoing crimes against humanity.

As of today’s date, we are only 10 miles or so from jumping on the Katy Trail in Jefferson City and heading toward Creve Coeur. According to Google Maps, we’ve got to cover 124 miles between Monday and Saturday in order to arrive at the March on time. Just over 20 miles per day.

As previously posted, David’s dealing with some pain that has slowed us down a bit. From what we’ve been told, pain is part of the transcon experience. The Katy Trail is a perfect place for us to slow down the pace, enjoy Missouri’s beautiful scenery, and give David some time to get back on his game. It’s also the perfect place for you to come and walk with us if you’d like. No cars, no traffic, no noise. Lots of opportunity to talk with David and me as we walk toward Creve Coeur. We’re going to do our best to post our location each day on the trail so people can join us on the trail.

Wouldn’t it be fun if a small group of us could actually walk to the March Against Monsanto on May 24th?

Whether you’re Monsanto’s biggest friend or foe, come and walk with us. If you want up-to-the-minute information on where we’re at on the trail, just call my cell phone: 801-882-3198.

See you on the trail!

  2. Stop at the humble but affordable hostel in Tebbbetts, Mo. This was donated by my Great Aunt Honey Turner’s family. I wish you could visit my Uncle Larry F. and Cousin Paul who farm near Tebbetts. They have no love for Monsanto. The Missouri River Valley in Missouri, as beautiful as it is, was the site of another abuse for over 100 years – Slavery and Jim Crow.

    1. Hi Juli, I just barely saw your message after running to the Tebbetts trailhead. We’ll see if we can stop in to the hostel tomorrow morning. I wish we could visit your family as well, but our days are packed . . . over 8 hours on the trail today!

  3. I work literally and I mean literally right next store to Monsanto in chesterfield, MO. Their headquarters. There isn’t much room in front of the entrance and I’m curious to know how it’s going to work? I’ve seen their quasi police officers chase people away if they get to close to the fence or gate. And I always see homeland security in and out of there. I hate and loath Monsanto. And as luck would have it I’ll be working on the day of the march. So I know where I’ll be heading when I get off.

  4. Be on time – Promptness is key to showing respect for others’ time.
If you are having trouble with your monthly bills and you are looking for ways to save
some extra money, consider national babysitting rates, Maribel, services.
FXCM is another a community I’ve heard a lot about, although they are a
    little pricy.
