Re: Vaccination policy
Dear President Nelson, President Oaks, and President Eyring,
My name is Brett Wilcox. I am a lifelong member of the church, currently living in Sitka, Alaska with my family. Four years ago, I wrote a letter to President Monson and his counselors regarding the church’s position on vaccination (attached). (1)
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is well known for its emphasis on protecting the sanctity of the family. The Church is also known for its support of vaccination programs, as evidenced by public statements encouraging vaccination, vaccine requirements for prospective missionaries, and its participation in and funding of international vaccination initiatives.
By linking arms with the vaccine industry, the Church has literally linked arms with the arm of flesh. Nearly all modern vaccines are contaminated with DNA fragments from various animals and from aborted male and female fetuses. (2)
It seems highly unlikely that a loving God would intend to have fetuses harvested, processed, and injected back into the bodies of pregnant women, infants, toddlers, and children. And surely, God did not intend to have His children place their faith in a one-size-fits-all medical intervention based on a (secret) combination of human sacrifice and cannibalism.
Contrary to commonly accepted dogma, vaccines are dangerous. Vaccine researchers—fully aware of this fact—design “safety” studies to hide vaccine injury and death. Rather than compare new vaccines to an inert placebo, researchers compare them to another vaccine, vaccines, or toxic vaccine ingredients, such as aluminum, which scientists routinely use to induce autoimmunity in laboratory rats. The result of these experiments is known beforehand: at least 2% of vaccine recipients in both the test group and the “placebo” group will experience serious adverse events. Researchers write off the injuries as “New Medical Events” unrelated to the test vaccine or to the toxic “placebo.” I repeat for emphasis: Researchers intentionally injure, and sometimes kill, healthy children who would not have been injured or killed, had they been given a legitimate placebo. The FDA licenses new vaccines fully aware that industry “safety” tests are nothing more than scientific treachery. (3)
The ritual of vaccination is an assault on decency, individual health, families, and on the human race. The DNA in vaccines of both fetal and animal origin has the capacity to insert itself into the DNA of vaccine recipients. (4) Vaccines currently in development will intentionally and permanently alter human DNA and the human genome. (5) Consequently, we may be among the last of our species who are fully male, female, or even human.
The Church cannot defend the sanctity of the family and simultaneously endorse a medical procedure that is altering the human genome, dissolving gender, decreasing fertility, diminishing mental capacity, and multiplying chronic disease and disability. (6) This is especially true in developing countries where people are chronically immunocompromised due to poverty, malnutrition, and unsanitary food, water, and living conditions. Children raised in these circumstances are more vulnerable to the toxins in vaccines, which would explain why researchers in Guinea-Bissau documented that the DTP vaccine multiplied childhood mortality by fivefold. (7)
To the best of my knowledge, various parties have attempted to speak with the First Presidency, in recent years, regarding this issue. None have succeeded. Some have, instead, been granted an audience with the Church’s medical advisors. While appreciated, these meetings have not been helpful. With rare exception, medical professionals know virtually nothing about the ingredients in vaccines, vaccine adverse events, treatment for the injured, or the fact that the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program has paid victims of vaccine injury and death over $4 billion. Few have any interest in learning, perhaps because doing so could cost them their careers.
To illustrate the ignorance and indoctrination of the medical community, please consider a short video titled “Reasons to Immunize,” posted on the BYU School of Nursing’s YouTube channel June 19, 2013. Among several other outrageous and incorrect claims, the video proclaims, “The immune system can handle 100,000 immunizations simultaneously. Seriously, 100,000.” (8) Vaccine doses range from 0.5 ml to 2.0 ml. At the lowest dosage volume, 100,000 vaccines total 50 liters or 13.2 gallons of vaccine solution. That this kind of propaganda is regularly taught to aspiring medical professionals is evidence of the power of the vaccine industry to shut down critical thinking skills, in even the brightest minds, and it has successfully laid the stage for widespread vaccine injury and death, and denial of the same.
On March 16, 2019, The American Academy of Pediatrics “called for elimination of religious exemptions to vaccination to be the top priority for the year . . . .” (9) Vaccine stakeholders are laying the groundwork to force all people, including the First Presidency, the Quorum of the Twelve, and their families to submit to mandatory womb to tomb vaccinations, or give up their right to work, drive, travel, receive an education, or participate in public events. (10) Vaccine-related information is now being censored on the Internet and legislation of the same has been proposed. (11) (12) Vaccine program architects and the organizations they control are clearly archenemies of freedom, agency and humanity.
It is time for the Church to stop deferring to the authority of medical professionals on this issue. It’s also time for medical professionals to stop deferring to the authority of the Church on this issue. It’s time for both Church leaders and medical professionals to listen to the real authorities on this subject: the mothers of vaccine-injured and killed children—the same mothers who placed their faith in vaccinations, because Church leaders and medical professionals advised them to do so. Many of these mothers have spent thousands of hours researching, studying, and networking to understand what happened to their children. Many have successfully healed their children from their vaccine injuries, including autism. More often than not, they are scorned and threatened by their doctors for not “believing science” and are shunned and ridiculed by the Latter-day Saint community for not “following the Prophet.”
Hundreds of members—mostly mothers—have contacted the Church telling the same story: vaccines injured or killed their babies, children, teens, and missionaries. Most of the time, Public Affairs representatives assure callers that the Church has no official vaccination related policy and that members are free to seek out and act on personal revelation. This is encouraging, but insufficient. Private statements to individual callers cannot stand against the Church’s historical and ongoing public support of vaccination programs and initiatives.
It is tragic that the Church has done nothing to protect its members from international cartels that are stripping people of their God-given and Constitutionally-protected religious right to abstain from vaccination. It is shameful that the Church continues to infringe upon the Constitutionally-protected right of its missionaries to abstain from liability-free vaccinations that were brought to market by fraud and treachery. This practice must stop. If not, the Church has a moral obligation to assume full liability for vaccine-induced injuries and deaths. To do otherwise is unconscionable.
It is a disgrace that missionaries are shamed, coerced, and guilt-tripped into submitting to unwanted, liability-free vaccinations. Some are being injected by medically untrained Church leaders, or companions. Medical professionals are shielded from vaccine-related liability. Unlicensed Church leaders or missionaries acting under the direction of their leaders are not shielded. For the sake of the Church and its members, these dangerous and illegal practices must stop.
It is a disgrace that Latter-day Saint elected officials sponsor and advance vaccine-related legislation to limit the agency of their constituents, resulting in increased vaccine injury and death. It is a disgrace that Church medical advisors and educators remain dangerously and willfully misinformed on this topic. It is a disgrace that many members continue to believe that the Lord wants them to inject their healthy children with an ungodly mix of neurotoxins, cytotoxins, carcinogens, fertility inhibitors, fetal and animal DNA, etc.
Our misplaced faith in the salvational value of injected poisons must come to an end. If we don’t stand together now, virtually everyone on the planet will be forced to submit to ever increasing numbers of toxic and heinous formulations intended to alter our very DNA.
Time is running out.
I recommend that the Church’s legal department study this issue closely and take appropriate measures to advance the cause of truth and liberty. And I join with the growing number of vaccine informed people—members and non-members alike—who pray that in your capacity as Church leaders you will recognize the enemy at your doorstep and do everything within your power to protect the human family, religious freedom, and the Church from some of the most wicked evildoers who have ever walked the Earth.

As you know, I have four vaccine-injured adult children, one who died of his injuries and one autistic, and have spent the last 20 of my 71 years on this earth researching the “science” of vaccines. I think what we need to do is print up your letter and each of us give a copy of it to our Bishop or someone in the bishopric. I think like it’s hard to get things done on a federal level that it easier to get things done on a local you know city county level state. So I think that if we go to our Bishops and stake presidents that this might have a greater impact. I also think this should be included in it. The ahrq report about Pilgrim Health and Harvard Medical School $1000000 Grant to study the VAERS reporting system. In this summary they state that only 1% of vaccine injuries are reported. What they found over their three-year electronic automatic reporting was that 2.6% of all vaccines resulted in a serious adverse event. Those are terrible odds. Would you inject inject your child if you knew that they would have a 1 out of 38 chance of having a serious adverse event from a vaccine? So the CDC just kind of stuffed it under the rug. Like they always do when they don’t want to hear the truth.

I wrote a letter and sent a copy of the book, “How to End the Autism Epidemic” by JB Handley, to President Nelson in January of 2019. I have no idea if he ever received it. I agree with everything in Brother Wilcox’s letter and have been praying for the type of action from our church leaders that he is requesting. I have called and spoken with the church Public Affairs office and they have stated that it is not church policy to vaccinate but there are many ways that they state just the opposite. First of all there is the 1978 statement and then there are other places in manuals that state we should vaccinate. I have three children that have served missions. All three were pressured to get their vaccines once they were in the MTC. My two youngest were more prepared for the pressure and did not let the MTC nurses or doctors convince them to get vaccinated. They also were pressured throughout their mission to get the flu shot. My niece was told by the MTC doctor that she was never going to find a man that would marry her if she didn’t get vaccinated so she may as well go ahead and get vaccinated! The church needs to change it’s policy or it is in collusion with the pharmaceutical industry in damaging our children.

My niece’s story is not for me to give permission to share. My son and daughter won’t mind their stories being shared. There are no names attached. Even so, I think my niece would have to be the one to share her story.
I had a similar experience with my son in the MTC. The nurse was a bully and it was such an emotional time for me but I stood my ground and fought against her. She said the rudest things to me but I wasn’t backing down. I did win and then called church headquarters in SLC and reported her.
I’m appalled that they were told that… what a denigrating way to communicate to someone… actually it’s really abusive. Would not put up wait there or anywhere…

We simply told our children to ignore the requests and appointments to meet with the MTC nurse or doctor. That has been effective.

I, too, have contacted religious leaders over the years, to no avail. It is patently unacceptable for them to ignore and dismiss the grave concerns and personal testimonies about the widespread carnage being caused by vaccines.
Everyone should study vaccines before getting one. I was given 4 vaccinations as a child. It is up to 72!!! for little children now. That is RIDICULOUS!!!
I have friends who get the flu vaccine….and get the flu. I don’t know when i had a flu vaccine last and haven’t had the flu forever!
Thanks for writing this powerful letter, Brett. Leaders of all religions should take a stand against the ingredients in vaccines and current vaccine policies. When the vaccine machine finally topples, those who remained on the wrong side of this issue will not be able to deny their part as perpetrators and enablers in this horrific chapter in history.
I hope that there may be a link added at some point that will allow us to download a PDF of the letter so that we may share it, with our bishopric, our neighbors, our pediatricians, our elected representatives, and with the numerous organizations that are currently uniting the warriors who are waging the battle to retain or regain our right to choose. The greatest obstacle to health and wellness in 2019 is the increasing number of mandatory vaccination laws and the mushrooming number of vaccinations being created by the only industry in our nation that has been absolved of responsibility and accountability for its products, regardless of the proven level of culpability for those products’ failures and flaws.

An articulate and lucidly written letter to the First Presidency my friend.
I too wrote a letter to them back in 1993 while I was still a member of the LDS church.
At the time I was asked to give a lesson in relief society that discussed health and hygiene and included vaccination as an adherence to the principles prescribed in the lesson manual.
I explained to the Relief Society president that I had fully researched the issue of vaccination and had chosen not to vaccinate my children and would not include the admonishment to vaccinate when providing the lesson.
I was challenged to stick to the manual by the RS president and was sufficiently provoked to write a letter to the First Presidency for better clarification on their standing with this issue.
I did receive an answer directly from the First Presidencys staff office which stated that I was in no position to question the inspired and ordained doctrine of the church as it was handed down from the First Presidency. It stated all church material to include all lesssons in the RS manual were official revelation of the First Presidency and were not to be questioned.
I was actually chastised that I would question anything that the First Presidency ordained and was admonished to repent.
The second epistle of James that is the linchpin to all church doctrine insomuch as it says “if any of you lack wisdom let him ask of God, that gives to all men liberally and abraideth not and it shall be given him,” is no longer applicable to church members as one would assume.
In essence all of my research, fact-finding, personal testimony gathering and ultimately prayerful decision not to vaccinate my children and to work with Heavenly Fathers natural world to build their immunity was “wrong“ according to the First Presidency of the church.
That response letter from the First Presidency was the final wake up call that the corporatization of the management of the LDS church is no different then other churches that run efficiently as businesses.
Personal testimony on the issue of vaccines or anything else needs to be between an individual and the DIVINE. There is simply too much at stake in this human condition to blindly hand our sovereignty over to “authorities“ that we assume are more enlightened than ourselves or more in touch with Divinity. We will have to live with the consequences of surrendering our sovereignty at anytime.
Is it possible that the church may change his stance on this issue? It is possible but it is highly unlikely as your letter and my letter are only two of perhaps thousands that they have received since vaccination has grown this public and widely researched.
Just the same, I am grateful for what you are contributing to making this so.

I absolutely agree. I do not see myself as in opposition to the church and reposted commentary on Facebook. Maybe I will be up for excommunication for speaking through the Holy Ghost? “Study it out in your own mind” ( I did that 3 years ago and followed the HG ANSWERS that came) and ask (I always take anssers to the Lord in prayer) If that same warmth that comes with my answers was not the Holy Ghost then I guess I shouldn’t have joined the church in the first place because I felt the same burning when it witnessed to me the church is true.
This only the second time it has zapped me to study harder. I have only disagreed with a Bishop once. I backed off and could not do the job he asked me to do because I felt a really strong prompting I could no longer follow what he wanted me to do so I gave that job to someone ELSE he felt inspired to call who followed his advice better than I could. I NEEDED something else and was so burned out being called to that same job that it literally made me sick doing it. The Lord wants us to grow snd learn! To my knowledge the First Presidency has NOT COMMANDED US to all be vaccinated. I guess the theory is that many more would die if not vaccinated? How can that be proved? Right now the combined Covid deaths is higher than the combined vaccine deaths of the last 13 years. At what point is that MINORITY DEATH RATE no longer important to a drug company?
Excellent! Excellent!!! I feel like the church is advocating for damage to individuals by saying “the Prophets says…”. The subject matter is not being studied and people are being irreprebly damaged and it has to STOP. The church leadership is complicit in removing free will and choice from faithful followers. It is wrong. The leaders MUST study this subject matter because the evidence supporting vaccine damage is overwhelming. They are endorsing the bullies – big pharma.

In all my years studying and researching this issue (after our son’s horrific vaccine reactions at the age of four months), your above statement is the conclusion that I, too, have finally reached. With much sadness, I can tell you. But it’s the truth.
I hope your letter reaches many, meany ears and hearts, Brett. But yet, it’s a sad commentary of our times that such a letter even needs to be written.
Brilliant letter and I wholeheartedly agree with you. I fear for my unvaccinated grandkids when they have to put their mission papers in. The fact that they have had no vaccinations in their lives & will be forced to ‘catch-up’ if they want to serve a mission is a worry! They have never been sick apart from the occasional strep throat or cold and they are teenagers who are approaching mission age. It is concerning to their parents to have to compromise their health values and be subject to these decisions if their kids serve missions.
The other thing that concerns me is the mandated extraction of wisdom teeth before they can put their papers in. At 18years of age, their wisdom teeth usually have not even erupted or are of a concern to them. It’s added cost for unnecessary surgery which could be dealt with when and if their teeth become a problem. Most times they are fine!
I understand why the church stipulates this surgery but really…2 weeks out of their mission time IF their teeth become a problem isn’t going to hurt the church at all!!!
I really hope your letter is given the utmost consideration by the First Presidency and policy changes are made. Everything else seems to be changing so why not this as well?
I think if they serve in the states they could skip the vaccines.
Unfortunately, that is not true. All missionaries now must have the COVID vaccine or they cannot receive a mission call. My husband and I had a call to go to Germany in June. I prayed long and hard and studied everything I could on the COVID vaccine. I felt the Spirit clearly telling me not to have it. When the Church mission department sent out the statement that we could not go overseas without being fully vaccinated, I struggled again. My husband thought it was just nonsense that I wouldn’t have the vaccine. Finally after the mission department responded to an email I sent them emphatically stating that I could not go nor my husband (who is vaccinated) if I didn’t get the vaccine, I went and got the first vaccine. I knew I shouldn’t do it, but I did. I have had COVID twice and my body was able to deal with it. But I got very ill from the shot and knew I had done wrong. I talked to my husband and we called our stake President to tell him I wasn’t going to have the second vaccine. They tried to change our call to Alaska, but now we are not going to be allowed to do that either. It breaks my heart, but I am not going to go against the Spirit again. My husband and I planned our whole marriage to go on many missions after his retirement. We went on one and it was wonderful. It is our desire to serve, but I guess we will not be permitted to do it again.
You misunderstand the rules. The church does not require missionaries to be vaccinated (except maybe for tetnus?) And they do not require missionaries to get their wisdom teeth removed. If a missionary is not vaccinated, then he or she serves in his or her home country. A dentist needs to sign off on a paper stating that the misdionary’s teeth are fine. Parents, prospective missionaries, and dentists decide what is best. Often, wisdom teeth grow sideways and need to be removed before they create a lot of pain.

But smallpox was effectively eradicated. As were many other illnesses as a knowledge of germ theory began to spread in the second half of the century.
I have some empathy for the fears around autism and vaccination but would ask that people bear in mind that such fears are nothing new, that such objections have been around for the past 200 years or so – but that many previous killer epidemics have been consigned to the history books.
Indeed, on the contrary to your premise, the natural human immunity to the smallpox disease was out pacing the deaths at the end. So it is debatable which method was more responsible for its eradication.
I find this very difficult to believe. What are your sources for this decline due to natural immunity? Possibly the increased levels of immunity due to vaccination meant the disease had fewer opportunities to pass on. If not vaccination, what was the documented cause of the natural immunity?

Good hygeine was responsible for improved health outcomes. Nothing more. I am a RN , i have lived many years, and GOD, HIMSELF, gave us free agency. Nothing more needs said.
I believe that, but I don’t know exactly what this COVID vaccine is supposed to do. It doesn’t prevent us from getting COVID or spreading it. We still have to wear masks, social distance and endure lockdowns. Vaccinated people are still getting the virus. I read the information sheets published by Moderna and Pfizer. The statement in both said “this vaccine may prevent COVID” , not that it would prevent it, not that it would be 85% effective. No it just said rather offhandedly that it “may” prevent it.
I truly appreciate this letter. I have a 7 year old who is unvaccinated after the personal revelation my husband and I received on this matter. We have delve deep into this issue and agree wholeheartedly with your concerns. As a result, my daughter has a religious exemption with the state I live in so she can attend public school. I pray that my state will keep religious exemptions in practice , but I know many states and local politicians are fighting to attain only medical exceptions which can only be obtained AFTER the child has already been injured by said vaccination. This is far too late.
For a Church that is known for taking a more mindful approach on what we put in our bodies (Word of Wisdom) it seems only necessary to address the issue of poison being encouraged into our families. The cost of which is far beyond the scope of what I imagined before we had our daughter and decided it was worth looking into.
I was asked by my sister what I would do when the time came that my daughter would like to serve a mission. I responded that I hope the Church will change their policies by then.
Thank you Mr Wilcox. I am in full agreement. Mandating vaccines is nothing short of Tyranny. This is a freedom issue and we as a people should be free to choose. My family have genetics that make us particularly susceptible to vaccine injury. We have granddaughter who is vaccine injured. One of our daughters left the church because of the church’s stance on vaccines. She said she would not subject her children to vaccines before or during their missions. I have researched vaccine issues since the mid 80’s. I hope the church will reconsider its stance on vaccines.
This letter is the “95 Theses” of this century. In 1517, a young German monk, Martin Luther, nailed his letter outlining 95 abuses of the Church onto the Wittenburg Castle Church door. It was the beginning of the end of tyranny and setting people free to follow Jesus Christ the way Scripture tells us. If not for Luther (and his fellow reformers in all of Europe), we’d all probably be forced right now to worship the Lord in Latin or be burned at the stake.
The Church at that time was in collusion with false religion, and it took brave men to wrest it free. Today, the collusion is with spurious science. The snakes, the tares, the wolves — whatever name you choose — have infiltrated the sheep, and the real Body of Christ, by whatever name (Mormon, Baptist, 7DA, etc) will hear the Good Shepherd and do what they can to warn the flock. And as in Luther’s day, the “medical heretics” will be burned at the stake of public opinion. That great man also taught us that no matter the source of the lie, however great their standing in the hierarchy of man, we must tell God’s truth, for “here we stand, we can do no other.”
I find so much truth in this paragraph from Mr. Wilcox’s letter. There are so many questions about sexual identity and gender confusion today, we are losing the knowledge of who we really are; Sons and Daughters of God. The aborded DNA cells has to be addressed and looked into futher. This paragraph seems to answer a question that so many have never asked about vaccines; Are vaccines causing gender confusion and a greater loss of true identity? It is so scary to think what the future may look like for future generations if they have no choice on the matter. Thank you Mr. Wilcox for this well written letter.

Kinda we have had “gender confusion” “gays,etc” since the beginning of ten. I am not stating that vaccines cannot cause changes to happen but that there were no vaccines way back, so that is NOT the cause of gayness”
My friends two children and herself were vaccinated with the MMR vaccine at the same time. She did it even though she didnt feel right about it because the church website said that they encouraged it. Her kids both fell deep Into autism right after the MMR and my friend got a whole list of issues afterward. She was so hurt to loose her children’s health and her health that way that they had to escort her out of the doctor office as she went there and told the doctor she wanted to kill him. As you can imagine if this had happened to you and your children. Her family continues to attend church faithfully but for her it is a God Forsaken church.
You have a)research, b)conclusions. But, please, as I’ve learned over the years, there is wisdom in following the prophet. We’ve been given advice and also the direction to get our own revelations. Let people get their own direction on whether or not to vaccinate. There is a danger in admonishing our leaders. I wouldn’t want someone to lose their testimony of the gospel, because of an opinion on vaccinations.
I’m not speaking on the issue of vaccinations. I’m not asking you to blindly follow anyone. I’m saying, where you are treading, and promoting others to follow could be very risky to some individuals. I’m asking you to reevaluate..
First I’d like to say in response to your comment about individuals gaining their own revelation on the topic. The urgency is there because we are quickly losing the right to choose. If religious exemption is taken away then many will be forced to vaccinate as it is extremely difficult to get a medical exemption. If this happens personal revelation is no longer relevant.
Second, in 2006, through personal revelation I decided to homeschool my children. I spent the whole previous year praying about it and looking into homeschool education. My kids were removed from the public school system Spring of 2006. The prompting to do this was strong and unmistakable. That summer I found out I was pregnant with my 5th child. He was born in 2007 and prior to his birth I had a similar strong prompting to not vaccinate him until he was at least a year old. I had no real research or reason except a very strong prompting from Heavenly Father to hold off. We held off vaccines until the age of four months. At his check up I was bullied and threatened and I gave in. I went against the promptings of my Heavenly Father because of fear. Within 3 hours of the 8 diseases that were injected into him he stared turning blue and struggled to breathe. That nights ER trip lead is to six breathing treatments a day with two different breathing medications, constant ear infections which later led to tubes, eczema, allergies, some of which are anaphylactic, and many other autoimmune issues. It was listening to someone else in authority rather than THE Authority, my Heavenly Father that I truly believe led to these results.
If the injuries of member as well as non-members is not enough to at least get the church to rethink their stance I would hope that the loss of freedom to choose would be.
Thank you for sharing your feelings on our free agency and ability to ask of God ourselves. I love the Church, I love the Gospel, I love my Savior. I do not question personal revelation. I value it highly and am grateful for it . On any and all issues, we are blessed with the Gift of the Holy Ghost for guidance and confirmation of all truth. No man made issue can intercede with the Will of our Father as we remain steadfast and true to covenants we have made and kept.

I am saddened by the lack of understanding among all of you regarding vaccines. You are blind to the millions of lives saved by them. It’s not rocket science folks, make sure you look at credible research.
Nathan, If there were a church, secular organization, or community that could guarantee its members peace, safety, health and prosperity as long as one loved and wanted baby was sacrificed for every million members, would you consider joining? I know God prepared me far in advance to know how to respond to the question of whether my children would be vaccinated.
At first, I supposed that I would be only delaying. But that prompting to not vaccinate meant that I needed to further my education. I asked God to send me to the books, the friends, the researchers whose work would be most helpful to my family.
As the Lord answered those prayers, I found that the vaccine industry is a truly bleak one. Stanley Plotkin, “godfather” of the modern vaccine, has testified in court that abortions were performed and organs harvested (while alive) so that they could test the vaccines as they were being produced. One single test harvested more than 70 babies. It is not God who gave us vaccines — it was His imposter. As they were being produced, vaccines were tested upon the most fragile members of society who would have no means of recourse if things went wrong. These included orphans, children with mothers in prison, countries under colonial rule, and those who were mentally handicapped. And as I learned this, all I could think was that the scriptures had prepared me, for I knew that an evil tree could not bring forth good fruit.
I have 3 boys who are vaccine-injured. Their chiropractor spotted the MTHFR gene mutation marker (sugar bug, or blue vein across the bridge of their noses) and absolutely agrees with me that they should not be vaccinated. I’m so glad I stopped vaccinating a few years ago, as my friend encouraged me to look into it more. I’m mad at myself that I never looked into the ingredients before and put my trust in doctors. I had a nagging feeling that I shouldn’t help pin my babies down so they could be injected with poisons. The fact that aborted babies were and are used in the making of vaccines is appalling. How can one be pro-life & pro-vaccination? There are many of us mothers, that I associate with weekly, that struggle with vaccination and Church members. One, is the backlash we get from our own LDS friends for not vaccinating. Two, the injury is so great in our children (even death) and even our own husbands. The mental illness that comes from it is so great, it’s even tearing families apart via divorce. There are elementary schools who have doubled their autism rates. Look at the schedule now for vaccination. It’s absolutely insane! Why haven’t they had any true studies on vaccinated children vs. unvaccinated children? Because “they” know. They know unvaxxed children are healthier. Big pHARMa doesn’t make money off healthy people! “Health is cultivated, not injected.”

One question keeps coming to mind — Is it moral or prudent to provide a product that has the potential to offer eternal implications to a population who stand in want and need of adequate nutrition and clean water?
What responsibility do we have with regards to the poor and needy?
We need more religious leaders to stand up in defense of our rapidly eroding religious rights and freedoms. Now is the time for this conversation. Praying that this important issue will come on their radar, if it’s not already on there.

When my son went into the MTC he was very ill. I asked if I should keep him home until he was better. They said no. I sent him, with instructions that he was not to receive his final vaccine, until he was well. As soon as he got there he was called to the nurse, who told him that, even though administration of the vaccine to someone who is sick is contraindicated on the package insert, it “should be okay,” and he was given the shot. Who are these people to play God with my child, who was under incredible pressure to be obedient to them? These decisions are not Missionary Medical’s to make. Missionaries should never be pressured to participate in medical procedures they are not comfortable with.
To those who are confused on this issue:
Vaccination is not a doctrine of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Opinions of members, Missionary Medical staff, and opinion pieces written in the 1978 Ensign, or anywhere else, are not doctrine. Please stop trying to shame members of the Church of Jesus Christ into going against the parenting inspiration given to them, directly from their Father in Heaven. He knows their children better than you do.

I do not think the church will ever change no matter how much we write them. They are as Isaiah says of the last day prophets are “dogs that won’t bark” and “drunkards of Ephraim.”
They love to go along with the world. I have a son who went to New Zealand on his mission came home a year early because he was sick from the vaccines. My other son was hassled in the MTC to get vaccines that he didn’t need I forwarned him to refuse. I never vaccinated my children and they are all healthy as horses, except the one who got vaccines for the church. I think the members aught to boycott the church. Quit paying tithing till they wake up and listen. Tell your bishop thats why you’re not paying. When they put baby parts in vaccines isn’t that enough to put up a red flag? The church is promoting vaccines in third world countries through the UN. They are damaging these children in the name of humanitarian efforts. That’s where the 1 percent of our tithing money goes in helping the poor. Members need to wake up and quit following leaders blindly. The Book of Mormon warns us that all church had become corrupted. When it says ALL churches I think we had better listen.
Is unproven artificial immunity created from aborted babies and toxic ingredients really worth all the contention the church’s undying support of vaccination really worth the heartache and division among God’s church? Are doctors ordained priests never to be questioned? (Even if they are, explain the thousands of doctors who are opposed to or skeptical of vaccination and how their viewpoint doesn’t matter.)
The valiant support of vaccines and pharmaceuticals from church leaders is very much an anti-missionary, anti- family effort. Do we trust God and endorse His plan that includes personal and religious liberty and parental responsibility and protection of parental stewardship? Or would we rather endorse the trust in the arm of flesh that manifests as almost complete unquestioning trust of the medical industry in anything?
If we are truly bearers of truth and humility, such that we can be both theologians and scientists, then why when it comes to vaccines are we denying both the word of God AND real scientific evidence? Look harder at the evidence. Stop outsourcing information to the vipers you’ve surrounded yourselves with. Be willing to hear the other side of the argument. Do as you expect both your members and investigators to do and read a book. I highly recommend “Dissolving Illusions” by double board certified practicing MD, Dr. Suzanne Humphries.

I had a conversation with my daughters (unvaccinated due to their older brother’s vaccine injury.) We had been discussing agency as one of the primary doctrines of the Church and how Satan promised to protect everyone and guarantee the outcome of everyone returning to Heavenly Father… by abdicating our agency. And that willingness on the part of Satan’s followers relegated them to a place forever outside of Heavenly Father’s presence.
One of my daughters remarked, astutely, “that’s just like the vaccine debate. Give us your babies and kids and let us put all of these toxins in them and we guarantee they’ll grow up disease free…. but they can’t truly promise that. They just want us to hand over our agency to them.”
That daughter is 13. My 17 year old daughter has declared she won’t even go on a mission because she knows the pressure they will put on her to vaccinate and “I can find other ways to serve, Mom.” The 14 year old echoes the same sentiment. Hopefully by the time my younger boys will be mission aged this will have changed. My older boys converted after standard mission age and did not go on one.

Two of my unvaccinated children have served missions. They were both well educated on the vaccine issue before serving. Both were pressured to get their vaccines while in the MTC as well as get the flu shot once on the mission but both were strong and well informed and are even stronger now. I have an unvaccinated nephew out right now and an unvaccinated niece that served at the same time as my son. My sisters and I worked hard to make sure that our children understood the issues well enough to defend themselves when pressured. It’s annoying but my daughter at least was very informed and vocal and taught her companions a thing or two about vaccines. Both my son and daughter have kept up friendships with the people they served and companions and others that they served with via social media. They both post very actively on the anti-vax side so their circles of influence were greatly enhanced by serving their missions.
Maybe tithes or other financial considerations provide adequate cognitive dissonance which precludes consideration of the facts and laws (laws which Heavenly Father abides and counsels us to abide and which govern health and integrity of bodily functions) pertinent to the notion of vaccines and health.
For the record, as long as you are willing to serve stateside you do not have to get vaccinated. I have two children that put in their papers and served without getting vaccinated and I have two sisters that have children that have served as well. They do pressure them to get vaccinated once they are in the MTC and they pressure them to get the flu shot all winter but if the young person is prepared they can withstand those pressures.
Thank you for all you do Brett! This is something that has bothered me for years. It needs to be addressed and acknowledged by the Church. No longer can we defer the responsibility of our health and well being to doctors that have become collectively mouthpiece’s for big pharma. As you said, we are running out of time. It’s shocking, but you are 100% correct about vaccine makers intentionally killing children in the “control” groups so that the number of deaths in the subject (vaccine) group looks similar. For example with Gardasil, they killed 19 girls in the “control” group by injecting them with even more aluminum-hydroxide than is in the Gardasil vaccine. And so, even though 21 girls died after receiving Gardasil in the trial, Merck scientists reported that Gardasil is safe because 21 deaths is not significantly more than 19 deaths in the control group! In all 40 girls were sacrificed, and the FDA granted fast-track approval even with any evidence that it prevented cancer.

Your letters are brilliant. I have vaccine injured children and grandchildren. I have spent years researching the evil design of big pharma. I can no longer support LDS church..how can I pay tithing to a church who supports Bill Gates and big pharma? Why is there no one in leadership listening? Instead they basically force poison into missionaries. When I pray, I am told vaccines are evil. Where is the revelation to our prophet that these are killing innocent children, and adults. They cause so many complications from eczema, autism, bowel disorder, to SIDS..SUDS.

I was just told by a missionary that my soon to be missionary-aged son could not even serve stateside without vaccinations. We feel as strongly against vaccinations as we do the church is true. I don’t want to be accused of apostasy or anything crazy but surely there is some exception to this? I would appreciate anybody who could point me in the right direction.

Having served a mission at church HQ a couple of years ago I can tell you that the policy on vaccinations is not set by the 1st Presidency. Rather, it is set by Dr. Susan Puls. She is a retired Orthopedic Surgeon who knows nothing more about vaccinations than what she was indoctrinated with in medical school. All communications re:vaccinations are sent to her, and she promptly files them in the round file on the floor beside her desk. In all honesty, my mission was shortened because I dared to lock horns respectfully but repeatedly with Dr. Puls on this issue of vaccinations in third world countries and as a requirement for missionaries. The only potential for getting the attention of DOCTOR President Nelson on this MIGHT be numerous letters to the editor of the Salt Lake newspapers from a whole lot of people and even approaching the radio and television stations to do an interview with some who are both well educated on the issue and have experience as parents. But even that is not a guarantee, and it would probably need to be repeated numerous times and by different people and faces. Getting some of the establishment doctors on-board and willing to write and go on interviews would help.
It would seem from past experiences this approach would be the way to get the Leaders attention. After the women who wanted the priesthood and those who were upset about how the Church handled sex abuse picketed the Church HTQ, they got a reaction. The Church quickly issued statements, and even some policy changes after they protested. I am not suggesting this needs to be done regarding this issue as this would label anyone who does this as an apostate, but it does make you wonder what it will take to get them to see vaccine injury is really not that uncommon.

My wife and I are staunch anti-vaxxers and I have made the statement to my wife that if I were required to get this Covid-1984 concoction in order to return to church worship, it would be my line in the sand moment – and I never thought I would say that about anything. The Church seems to have caved into pleasing the world instead of growing a pair and standing for something.
We need an intervention. We need those who love liberty to stand up. We need more Moroni’s out there. The time is now.
I believe in the power of the Holy Priesthood. I believe in the Constitutional Right to choose what is best for me and my family. While I personally have spent endless years studying vaccines, and while I personally would never feel it my right to dictate what someone else does with/to their family, I would NEVER let my child get any vaccine.
I had a friend who was anti-vax, his wife was a nurse, who believed 100% in vaccines (as she was educated to believe). They almost got divorced over this issue. I suggested he consider using his Priesthood power, and give his child a Father’s blessing. Thankfully this made sense to him, and their marriage was saved.
I certainly don’t have answers for anyone but my own family, but I believe in the Constitution, and honor those who penned it.
This world is corrupt, more than we have even begun to figure out. The teachings of the Church are teachings of God, and these times were predicted. We all fight battles every day, and prayerfully I hope we will all unite and take a stand when the time comes. I pray we keep fighting the battles we are able to fight, and that we have the courage, free will, and Faith, to do what is right for each individual, as trial upon trial comes along. Our Father in Heaven felt our Agency was so important, he gave his son. I pray we all use our Agency with prayerful attitudes, great Faith, and honor that very Agency God gave us.
As for our leaders taking a stand, they also are respecters of the Free Agency God bestowed upon us.
Have you ever been in a situation where you thought you knew all the facts and made a conclusive judgement….only to find out later that , well, you didn’t have all the facts and your conclusion wasn’t as right as you thought it was? I have. It’s humbling. It makes me slower to judge and more willing to realize that I may not….probably don’t…. have all the facts. Mr. Wilcox has a lot of facts on vaccines and makes a very compelling argument. I’m not a fan of vaccines myself – at least, not the way they are mass produced today. However, what we CANNOT know is what happens in the private prayers of prophets and apostles and the Lord. God said, “My ways are not your ways”. We simply do not have the eternal perspective on this nor do we know what the Lord knows. All we can do is conjecture. For example: We don’t know when the 2nd coming will occur. What we DO know is that the last thing the Savior told His apostles and disciples was to go to every nation, tongue and people to preach His gospel. Putting those two things together, what if the 2nd Coming is sooner than we thought….and there’s still loads of people who are waiting to hear the truth? Would our missionaries be willing to risk a vaccine in order to go into a country that requires vaccines in order to gain admission…. in order to carry out the Lord’s mandate and priesthood responsibility? We know from the scriptures that the Last Days aren’t going to be a cake walk. We know from the scriptures, and probably personal experience, that Satan is pulling out all the stops in an effort to stop the Lord’s work from going forth. Well, he can’t. I am grateful for a Prophet and Apostles who will do whatever is necessary to do what theLORD told them to do and continue to bring the gospel to ALL the world. How about this: instead of attacking a Prophet of God, turn your attentions and efforts to Monsanto, to lobbyists, to the representatives of your local, state, and federal gov’t, and anyone else you can think of to expose the truths abt vaccines. And stand strong in your faith during these most difficult of times. ❤

I have always pacified myself about vacines and the church by thinking, ” the church is in the business of preaching the gospel around the world, and in order to do so, must go along with vaccine laws to get our missionaries into the different countries of the world.” And if laws are to be changed, it will have to be by others, and not the church organization. I don’t know if I’m right, but that is how i have pacified this. I think there are many bad laws and policies that we as citizens need to try and change. And definately the bullying to get vaccinations is ridiculous.

I absolutely agree. Thank you. The nurse at the MTC was an absolute witch to me when I refused the flu shot. I held my ground, but did not feel welcome back to the nurse’s office.
Where to start?! I have always had a wary eye on the medical field in general. I started out to be biologist and then changed directions to earn a living. I had my shots that were required already under my belt and had no on going issues. I did however get the measles twice when I was 7 -10 years old. I had strep settle into my kidneys at 7 and am now looking at transplant possibilities at 64. I contracted Russian Flu while on a mission in Anaheim in spring of 78. I went from 190 lbs to 165 lbs in one week. I was not fat but very fit from constant exercise morning and night let alone all the bike riding and basketball after prep day chores were done. Nothing seemed to work and I agreed to a shot of antibiotics to give my immune system some help. It worked. A former (yes I fired him) Doctor badgered me until I agreed to a flu shot in 2012 and within seconds I nearly keeled over unable to walk or keep my balance. It took a half hour to recover enough so I could get to the car and have my wife drive us home. NO MORE. MY system doesn’t like it. My youngest son was required (under threat by the office staff at his high school) to have a booster vaccine which is in essence several vaccines in a cocktail. With in two days my son began to bleed internally and we nearly lost him to what they called ulcerative coitus. We had him treated but the meds stopped his liver function and he nearly passed. More complications followed with the only remedy being offered were two meds one which would make him sterile and the other offered to develop a 90% chance of cancer. My son had been doing some early long distance running and was very proficient at it. Now he could hardly walk across the room. All from a vaccination cocktail that should have been split up to allow his body to adjust to each separately. Recently the government released records from decades ago on polio vaccination data. It showed that 90% of those that contracted polio did so from the vaccine and not from natural transmission. No one is talking about it! Why?? I’ve lost a cousin to Covid, had a brother, his wife and several of their children and their children contracted Covid. The only one to really suffer(yes they were all very uncomfortable for a week) was a sister in law with an extremely low immune tolerance of anything. Yet she was treated and sent home in three days from the hospital where she was on a ventilator for two days.
I have listened to Doctors using protocols called quackery sending 100’s of people home free from the disease using medicines along with protocols that prominent news casters and scientists call improbable or a lie.
Now we have Doctors docuementing protein throw offs from those vaccinated affecting those closest to them with symptoms not associated with any known disease including sterilization of both men and women, babies lost during pregnancy etc etc.
Science requires us to look at thing objectively and thoroughly. I am not an antivaxer but I am anti bad science and this is the worst to ever be forced on the population as a whole. Yes forced through ads and social shaming etc. Why? The greatest screams come from those that say they are vaccinated already and why would anyone that has had covid already get a shot? Why are prison inmates that have had covid mandated under threat to get the shot? We were once a free society, given our own individual choices to make with intelligent thought and discernment, respecting the truths we find and thus adhered to. Our Republic is under assault, out sanity is under assault and so to are our families and our future generations. Would this not be enough to be considerate of anyone’s choice to avoid the shot(s) as a valid choice, that should be respected and not feared. When fear is instilled, it dictates through tyranny that all must comply with the perception of one way only and no other. That is the death of freedom and thought!

I think I am well informed in what is going on in the world, Still, this is the Church of Christ and not the church of men, and it is guided by His living prophet, I am willing to accept whatever personal consequences result from acting in faith with regard to taking the vaccine. Admittedly I am ceding the outcome of taking the vaccine to the Lord.
While it is perfectly fine to make our own decision about the vaccine, I trust that those who choose to follow the prophet’s guidance, particularly when it goes against their own judgement, will receive spiritual blessings and protection against evil. I trust the same is true for those who take the vaccine because they believe they are being good citizens and doing the right thing.
